Hi Folks, how is your day going?

I find it hard to believe its March already.
We have had a busy January with you all drinking more of my coffee than last year.

Last year was a year of uncertainty with scarce coffee and prices at all time high on the world market.
I continue to buy only Top Quality of Speciality Coffee from primarily Colombia and Guatemala. It is hard to beat these countries for the best coffee available.

If you like decaf and can not find Schloneger's on the shelf of your favorite store right now it is because I'm unable to buy decaf without the chemical process right now. I'm expecting to find it available by June.
I always purchase current crop coffee which is freshly picked and processed.
The beans we purchase are from the Top Lot of Specialty Coffee. This means they have been cupped by professionals that have the ability to select the best of the best.

You can buy my coffee over the internet by visiting Asherycountrystore.com.

Traveling around the world drinking amazing coffee I realized here in our part of Ohio people were missing out on really good tasting coffee.
I visited coffee plantations in South and Central America, Jamaica and Mexico Learning how to roast from coffee roasters in Guatemala, USA and Mexico. Taking Barista courses in Guatemala.
Attending coffee conventions in Chicago. Learning to cup coffee like the professionals from the original person who developed "Cup of Excellence"
We use a professional Drum Roaster designed by the German company Diedrich. This commercial roaster built in USA gives me the opportunity to hand roast in small batch artisian style to ensure the absolute best tasting coffee.

For many years coffee prices have been very low, smaller farmers have had difficult time to make enough
profit. After their expenses there was not enough money to pay bills and feed their families.

If you ever visit a coffee farmer and witness the hard work for little pay, Your cup of coffee will seem to be a real bargain.
Our Guatemala is a high demand coffee that we roast to a Medium Roast which gives it the mellow flavor of Guatemala coffee.  All the different flavors you taste with our coffee are natural. No, artificial flavors are added to any of our coffee.         When you as an example taste Chocolate, Toffee or Molasses. This is all Natural flavors depending on many different things.
The types of coffee, the region, the weather patterns, the altitude of the mountains and the process and care taken by the farmers.
We are now offering "ESPRESSO"  If you like Bold Coffee but without bitterness try our ESPRESSO.

Farmers have many new challenges every year that they have to contend with. The coffee farmers work hard and are able to produce a good crop of coffee with limited resources many times.
I appreciate being able to spend time talking to the farmers and listen to their stories. One man showed me the old Diesel engine he bought which now he can make electric to power his washing station that he installed two years ago. With his own electric power, He is able to do custom work for small area farmers now.
